Self-sovereign digital presence
The current internet identity landscape is fragmented and surveillance-prone. Users maintain dozens of accounts, each controlled by a different corporation, with little portability or privacy. Our research explores alternatives.
We're investigating how cryptographic primitives like zero-knowledge proofs, verifiable credentials, and decentralized identifiers can give individuals true ownership of their digital identity. This includes selective disclosure mechanisms (proving you're over 18 without revealing your birthdate), portable reputation systems, and privacy-preserving authentication.
